2019 – STAGE 3 / 11 OCTOBER : PANTICOSA – SOLDEU

It is under a bright sun, from the spa Panticosa perched at 1700m above sea level, that competitors took the road west towards the Principality of Andorra to take a series of valleys and passes listed as national parks in Spain.
The majestic summits accompanied the crews throughout the day and the two special stages in the program of the day. The surrounding scenery became increasingly arid and steep especially when we entered the gorge of Isabena and its many tunnels.

These virgin land planning then led competitors to the Val d’Aran and its famous winter sports resorts like Vielha and Arties where lunch was organized in a beautiful Parador made of granite stones and slate roofing.
After this gourmet stop, the competitors passed the port of Bonaigua and its countless hairpins to breathtaking views that pilots and co-pilots could admire under a bright sun.

The crews then left behind the high peaks to reach the Rialp Valley and Sort leading to La Seu d’Urgell, the entry point to Andorra and cross the border to Andorra La Vella where the participants could take advantage of this relatively short step to spend time in this city where tax-free shopping is legion!
Then we had to climb to Soldeu station where everyone enjoys the beautiful Sport Hermitage & SPA, gigantic blond wood chalet with views of the nearby slopes. Competitors will spend the evening and enjoy the spa.
