7th Rally Entre 2 Mers

STAGE 2 – LES BAUX – CASSIS / WEDNESDAY 5th OCTOBER 2022

While the first stage put the scrubland in the spotlight, to the west of the Alpilles, this time it was necessary to head due east, towards the Lubéron then the Massif des Maures to reach Cassis and its creeks, the end of this unprecedented stage. for the Rally Entre 2 Mers!

While the light fog that accompanied the early morning dissipated as the crossings of typical villages, the participants will have been able to admire the Mont Ventoux present on the horizon before entering the Var department and joining the lunch. established on the shores of Lac de Carcés.

Just after this mid-day break, the quick route of the Circuit du Luc was offered at digestion time. This fast track, with long bends in support, this time allowed high speeds and judging by the playful faces of our pilots as they descended from the cars, everyone took great pleasure in it.

The rest of the afternoon led to Cassis with a gentle descent to Castelet and the foothills of the Sainte-Beaume massif, via a winding course as desired. The azure blue of the Mediterranean and the famous creeks were then omnipresent when surveying the ridge road which made it possible to end this stage on the beach of Bestouan de Cassis, at the hotel “Roches Blanches”.

For the time being, we look forward to seeing you tomorrow for the third stage, towards Gargas and the last circuit event of this Rallye Entre 2 Mers, which still promises great battles for the general classification.
