7th Rally Entre 2 Mers

STAGE 1 – LES BAUX – LES BAUX / TUESDAY 4th OCTOBER 2022
For the official start of this 7th edition of the Rallye Entre 2 Mers, it is under a radiant sun that the competitors will be soaring for this first loop stage around Les Baux de Provence. From the Domaine de Manville it will first have been necessary to go to Les Baux de Provence and cross the Val d’Enfer known for its tones of red and white, a mixture of bauxite and limestone rocks widely used in the historic buildings of the region.
The Circuit de Ledenon was then the first meeting place for the crews and their experienced drivers, eager to battle it out in this regularity event against the clock. Divided into series of a dozen cars, the 45 crews present at the start had a great time on this hilly course where everyone was free to drive at their own pace, in complete safety.
The rest of the morning offered an incursion into the Gardon gorges before reaching lunch established not far from Alès, at the Serre d’Avène estate, with a panoramic view of the surrounding « garrigue ».
The route then joined Mont Bouquet, one of the peaks of Provence with a view of Mont Ventoux, for a passage check and the now traditional quizzes counting for the general classification of the event, before returning to the Rhone Valley. and complete this first step for a deserved rest.
As expected, the fight for the final victory is raging in both categories, classic and prestige. A large majority of participants wishing to perform well show great rigor during the classification tests and no one seems to want to leave the slightest opportunity to their opponents.
Appointment is therefore made, tomorrow, for the second stage of this Rally Entre 2 Mers, with a route that will take us to the creeks of Cassis, through the Lubéron and a new track event, this time on the fast route of the circuit of the Var.
