6th Rally Entre 2 Mers,
from 4 to 8 october 2021

STAGE 1 / TUESDAY 5th OCTOBER / BIARRITZ – PAMPELUNE

For the start of this first stage of the 6th Entre 2 Mers Rally, the route quickly escaped the outskirts of the town bathed by the Atlantic to reach the city of Estella, in the heart of the province of Navarre.

It is under the grayness and a fine rain that the route, immediately narrow and full of turns, had allowed everyone to warm up during the rally first half-day. Once the men and the machines were well warmed up, and after a lunch in Estella-Lizara, it was necessary to battle with the chronometer on the « Circuito de Navarra » and its course offering many turns both blind and overhanging for strong sensations behind the wheel.

Once the circuit session was over, the road passed not far from the turquoise-hued Lake Alloz for a rolling and committed route taking competitors to Pamplona, capital of Navarre, famous for its Saint-Firmin festivities, where the bulls are usually launched in mad races in the very heart of the old town.

The Tres Reyes hotel, which welcomes us, is located a stone’s throw from these mythical places generally frequented by young people, dressed in white proudly displaying scarves and red belts, braving the powerful bulls launched in pursuit, all horns out!

See you tomorrow, for the second stage, in the heart of the Basque country, which will stop at the Pau-Arnos circuit, the second racetrack of our journey between two seas.
